The biggest show on the Middle Ages and Knights takes place over an area of 7 hectares, involving 500 actors, 50 knights, a pack of dogs and canons. The 17th July 1453: an important date in the history of France. The final battle in the Hundred Years War. Charles VII regained power of Aquitaine. Produced by Eric Le Collen with the voice of Claude Villers. The show begins at 10:30pm. Various dates throughout July and August. Possibility of programmes to discover the terroir on the afternoon of the show and have dinner onsite at the Medieval Inn.

Libourne and the surrounding towns and villages invite you to the first edition of this event where you can share in three convivial days focused on two of the region’s emblems: wine and the River Dordogne. At characterful venues you can watch film screenings, attend plays with a summery slant, go on wine-tasting walks, enjoy concerts… There are attractions for kids and adults. Also on the programme are workshops and demonstrations on wine and river related trades, an initiation à into cooking with wine and river produce, and a tasting dinner… A months’ worth of activities squeezed into three days!
