Best of wine tourism 2010 – Architecture, Parks and Gardens category.
Château de Sales is one of the few Bordeaux estates to have been integrally passed down from generation to generation since the end of the 15th century when, despite the turmoil, wars and difficulties of that time, it was purchased by Bertrand de Sauvanelle. The estate stretches over 90 hectares, 47.5 of which are planted with vines, making it the largest estate of the Pomerol AOC. With Pomerol Oenotourisme, the owners of Château de Sales give tourists a very warm welcome. They offer a classical visit & tasting, an entertaining excursion to discover the Pomerol appellation, and a package with a meal on one of the partner estates.
Wine tasting tour (fee charged for groups).
