Welcome to the Benjamine. This guest house with four bedrooms is a former 18th century Béarn farm, renovated according to traditional architecture around an inner courtyard overlooked by a balcony. Location
Situated between Pau and Oloron Sainte-Marie, the Jurançon wine region stretches over 1,000 hectares of hillsides and cirques in the Pyrenees foothills, in Pyrénées-Atlantiques. While Jurançon was one of the first wines to receive appellation d’origine contrôlée (AOC) status in 1936, this white wine has been renowned since at least the 16th century. The grandfather of Henri de Navarre (the future King Henri IV of France) is said to have baptised him by rubbing his lips with a clove of garlic and wetting them with a little Jurançon wine.
Today, over 60 independent wine growers are members of the Jurançon Wine Route and uphold the tradition of a terroir in its own league.  

Atmosphere
The Jurançon Wine Route brings together passionate wine growers who take delight in divulging the qualities of their wine. They will also introduce you to restaurants, accommodation and sites to visit across the region. Add to that ideas for trips and a programme of events and you have all you need to plan your next stay in Béarn. 

To discover this wine region of excellence with panoramas which lend themselves perfectly to photography, follow the signs for the Route des Vins du Jurançon armed with supporting materials available from the Maison des Vins du Jurançon.
A recreational and informative pasejada ("walk" in Occitan) provides you with a one and a half hour signposted circular walk at the heart of the vines.
On foot, by bike or by car, from the Commanderie de Lacommande to the incredible roof structure of the church of Monein, come and get acquainted with this authentic corner of Béarn.
