Location If you like authentic gastronomic walks, you will certainly be part of the 3000 participants in the Raison d’Or event, that takes placed in November organised by the Baroudeurs du Sauternais association. As you wait for the start of the event, take in the magnificent gardens of the château Filhot in Sauternes, forty kilometres south east of Bordeaux, on the left bank of the Garonne. Atmosphere: The Raisin d’Or proposes several mountain biking courses (15, 25, 45 and 60 km) and a 15 kilometre walk which begins at the château Filhot and takes you through forest paths. Enjoy the friendly atmosphere and head along the valley of Ciron and arouse your taste buds in all the magnificent châteaux that participate in the Wine Open Days of the Sauternes-Barsac appellation.
