Location Thierry Dumas, professor of oenology, or Valérie Hulot, manager of the domaine de la Chouette, welcome you onto their working wine making château. Located in the commune of Leogeats, 50 kilometres south of Bordeaux and 12 kilometres south east of Langon, the estate spans four hectares. Atmosphere and tasting: Spend two hours on the estate to learn about the theory and practice of tasting (these introductory courses can also be taken in English). If you are a passionate wine enthusiast, improve your tasting skills in one of three sessions: white wine, red wine or sweet wine. A nice touch is that the domaine de la Chouette also lay country picnics in July and August.

Château Bardins is a charming 9.5-hectare vine-planted estate set in woodland in the Pessac-Léognan appellation, to the South of Bordeaux. Production of red and white wines. An interesting feature of this area near the Garonne river is a replica of the Grotto of Lourdes, a pilgrimage site for over a century.
