Location a little more than two hours is the time it takes to complete the 6.1km walking trail dubbed Duras, a château, a vineyard. Conceived by the tourist office of Duras, the trail begins at the château square in Duras. Atmosphere. This trail is accessible to all and will take you along the favourite paths and views of all enthusiasts of this "Great little wine region" of Côtes-de-Duras. On the way why not stop at the Maison des vins and its "Vine garden". And don’t forget your binoculars: in this peaceful countryside with its undisturbed relief, everything is worth a closer look.

A dream come true: a picnic amongst the vines where you try to distinguish the sauvignon grapes from the cabernet franc, admire the beautiful vine leaves, smell the generous aromas of fruit. The côtes-de-duras winegrowers have designed the Jardin des Vignes for just this purpose. Just for you. The Maison des Vins de Duras sends you off into the vines! You walk along a signposted trail and truly see how vines are grown.

Location Less than three kilometres from Duras, in Baleyssagues, you can find the Hauts de Riquets botanic trails. Here you can discover sixty different flower types and local plants, including around a dozen different types of orchids. Atmosphere Look out for the wild flowers on the hillsides, in the vineyards or the plum trees, all explained by the many signs along the routes and the illustrated guides handed out at the start of your visit. For a guided tour with the owner of the site, sign up each Thursday morning during summer. These mornings, known as "Tartines et Vin", finish around a table for a tasting of the wines from the chateau, accompanied by tartines prepared by local chefs. Not to be missed!
