Along the Dordogne. What a wonderful idea it is to have a floating restaurant on board a real ’gabare’ barge, the flat bottomed boat typical of the region! An original way of having a romantic meal or celebrating with your friends or family! Get on at Cabara, 3 km from Branne, on board the "La Lamproie" for a two hour cruise along the banks of the Dordogne. The cruise consists of: - a 15km loop, passing by the fishing villages of Cabara, the communes of Saint-Jean-de-Blaignac and Sainte-Terre, the châteaux at Courtebotte, Chaulnes and Blagnac, perched on the hillside. And not forgetting:- a gastronomic meal prepared on board, using products of the terroir, with a menu that changes every day of the week.
