Boarding Why not choose to go by boat and discover the Bordeaux vineyards in a different way. The meeting point is on the quaysides in front of the old Gare d’Orléans which is now the Mégarama cinema, on the Yves Parlier landing stage. You will embark on the Aliénor, a cruise boat of the Evolution Garonne company. Itineraries A 3 hour trip towards the Bec d’Ambés, where the Garonne and the Dordogne meet to create the Gironde estuary. You have the choice between two routes; the first is to Blaye and its citadel, the second offers the chance to dock on île Nouvelle island for a guided visit. In both cases you will be inspired by the unspoilt natural charm of the largest estuary in Europe.

Boarding Make your booking on the Quai des Chartrons (opposite n°2) and embark on the same quay, opposite n°32. The "Ville de Bordeaux" is a magnificent boat created in the old Mississippi style. Built in 1933, she sports a beautiful figurehead representing Bacchus and Neptune as one person. The length of the boat is 34m and she can accommodate up to 250 guests for cruises or 100 for a sit-down meal. Every Sunday afternoon you can board for a half-hour trip on the Garonne (departing at 3.30, 4.30 and 5.30). On board the "Ville de Bordeaux" you will get a fantastic view of the quays of the Port de la Lune, listed by UNESCO as a world heritage site, as well as the Pont de Pierre (the oldest and most beautiful bridge in Bordeaux !) and the Bassin Flot. On the first Sunday of the month (day without cars), the trip is extended and the "Ville de Bordeaux" will take you up to the impressive "Pont d’Aquitaine". For groups with advanced bookings, there is also the possibility of taking a cruise with or without a stop-over and with or without a meal around Blaye, the Gironde estuary or Cadillac up the Garonne River. These trips will undoubtedly leave you with some very special memories.
