Take a guided tour of the old town and discover the Cloître des Récollets, its interior courtyard and its 16th and 17th century galleries. This place is of exceptional architectural beauty but is also home to the Bergerac Maison des Vins. You can take a little train to see the surrounding vineyards, or you might prefer a guided tour of the nearby fortified villages (Monpazier, Beaumont du Périgord, Molières, Saint-Avit Sénieur...), those fabulous "new towns" of the Middle Ages.

In the heart of old Bergerac, the Maison des Vins de Bergerac is the headquarters of the Inter-profession Wine Council of Bergerac, and home to the famous Cloître des Recollets. A visit of the place gives you a view over the River Dordogne. A permanent exhibition called “Le Vin est Voyage” retraces the history of the wine region by means of a mural in the Cloître des Récollets. Next, an animated film screened in the cellar of the Confrérie de la Vinée tells the story of how wine is made over the seasons. Last, a sensory room awakens your senses in order to prepare you for a tasting of Bergerac wines.

The Maison des Vins de Duras will give you the keys to discover, understand and visit the Duras wine area. Ideas for tours, an entertaining permanent exhibition, a stroll through the vine garden, tasting of one of the 160 reds, rosés, dry whites and sweet whites available at the shop... The whole appellation at your fingertips!
Maison des Vins for premières-côtes-de-bordeaux and Cadillac
La Closière, an 18th-century charterhouse and former wine estate surrounded by a park of century-old trees, is home to the Maison des Vins for premières-côtes-de-bordeaux and Cadillac. 400 wine estates and 3,400 hectares of vines… It will give you all information about premières-côtes-de-bordeaux (white and red) and Cadillac (sweet white). This lovely house also plays host all year long to exhibitions and other events, such as the “L’Accord parfait” culinary competition for the best food-wine combinations. The winning recipes are to be found in a booklet given to you free of charge.
Maison des Vins de l’Entre-deux-Mers
Discover the wines of the entre-deux-mers appellation at the foot of the La Sauve-Majeure Benedictine Abbey, a stop-off point on the road to Compostela and listed as world heritage by UNESCO. This jewel in the crown of Aquitaine stands over 1,500 hectares of vines and 240 winegrowers, all passionate about their terroir. Free tasting and visit (admission fee for groups).

More than 800 winegrowers are now members of this Maison du Vin. In the air-conditioned cellar you will find more than 250 reds and 50 whites, as well as related products. An area set aside for children. Free tasting all year round from Monday to Saturday, 8.30 am to 12.30 pm and 2 pm to 6.30 pm.
Maison du Vin des côtes-de-bourg
The Maison du Vin has a superb setting with its garden overlooking the Dordogne and the vaulted cellar with 150 côtes de bourg red and white wines at château prices. The shop also has wine-related products. Free tasting all year round, 7 days a week (except Christmas Day and New Year’s Day). For groups, an admission fee (2 € per person) and appointment are required.

The Maison des Vins et du Terroir du Jurançon provides a choice of dry and sweet whites made by the independent winegrowers on the Jurançon Wine Route, but also Madiran, Irouléguy and other south-west wines and a variety of local produce. Tasting of 130 different wines.

The vineyard of Domaine de La Pointe, set on the dunes in Capbreton, produces the renowned vin-de-sable in the purest family tradition. With low production yields, fertilisation using compost, mechanical weeding and hand-picking of grapes, the "Les Dunes de la Pointe" wines are produced in white, red and rosé. For a visit and a tasting, take the road south of Capbreton towards Labenne, then as you leave Capbreton, Quartier La Pointe and follow signs to Vin de Sable.

A starting point to discover the wine area, the Maison du Vin de Saint-Emilion contains the Saint-Emilion Boutique, open all year round. Set up at the initiative of the winegrowers in the Conseil des Vins de Saint-Emilion, it is the showcase for the wines of Saint-Emilion, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Lussac Saint-Emilion, and Puisseguin Saint-Emilion, and more than 400 wines are on sale at château prices.
