The Aquitaine wine leisure park is the third-biggest region in France: 41,309km2! Quite a surface area to explore, what with the 2,200 hours of sunshine each year. Since towns and cities only cover 17% of the territory, nature is particularly welcoming here. And varied, too: you will find mountains, flat regions, beaches (250km of them), lakes, and even Europe’s largest forest.

All this and vast stretches of vines, because Oenoland is the world’s vastest winegrowing area: 140,000 hectares of vines (14 times the size of Paris!) producing 8 million hectolitres of wine each year, from 97 “appellations d’origine” (PDOs).

Oenoland accounts for 25% of French AOC vines: 10,550 AOC winegrowers bring all their expertise to bear here. Last but not least, 27 bottles are produced each second in Oenoland, and are sold all over the world. Dizzying figures, wouldn’t you say ?

Oenoland offers quantity but also – and especially – quality. As well as the classified crus, vaulted cellars, oak casks and barrels containing these highly subtle wines, Oenoland offers a multitude of unspoiled terroirs where you can do 1001 activities directly or indirectly related to wine. Ocean or freshwater, outing or tasting, forest or mountains, city or vineyard, natural or cultural heritage... Oenoland is a park for every leisure activity and every hobby.

A gigantic playground in which everyone, from the youngest to the oldest, will immediately find something of interest. You can immerse yourself in a study of grape varieties and find out about all the stages in vinification during a weekend or longer break on a wine estate, or just as easily go skiing, sailing, hiking, or strolling around a UNESCO-listed city (which Bordeaux has been since 2007). Alternatively, ride on horseback or bike to a good restaurant and witness the legendary hospitality of the people here and taste their famous cooking (known as South-West cuisine...).
